A forty-five-day journey of students, Ankit Patwari, PGDM E-Business 2017-19; Akhil Dhiman, PGDM E-Business 2017-19; Suraj Batra, PGDM E-Business 2017-19 and Sourabh Kapkar, PGDM Business Design 2017-19 has culminated as a winning moment for the fantastic four. Ankit and the team members enthusiastically recall how they nailed the challenge from the first round of general management and finance quiz to the online submission and then the final presentation. They express gratitude to their faculty mentors for giving them a sense of direction and a boost of confidence in a room filled with geniuses from competing B-Schools. They have competed with students from the league of IIM Indore, Kashipur, NMIMS Mumbai, IIT Delhi, MDI Gurgaon, SIBM, SCMHRD and have stood as winners taking the first place for their project on ‘Finertia’, a live case study competition by Petronet LNG Limited. They collectively describe their experience best expressed in three words, ‘team-work, ownership and persistence’. Elaborating on these, they take turns to picture how their core expertise in mechanical engineering, finance and legal enabled them to communicate with the esteemed leadership team from Petronet. Their study and on-ground research on implementing LNG trucks into the Indian market has apprised them about the trends, strength, opportunities and challenges in the dynamic auto sector in the commercial vehicle segment and into oil, gas and petroleum sector. When asked about how they cracked the idea, Ankit replied saying that they hit many generic ideas before they developed the winning idea. It was also their no-ego attitude and the right mix of team members that helped them succeed. Cheers to the WeSprit!!
