Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe, a Mechanical Engineer with a Management Degree in “Operations” pursued his Doctorate in “Turnaround Strategies”. He has a rich corporate experience of 12 years, which includes his tenure with Mahindra & Mahindra, ISPL and other companies.
Though a Teacher, he is an avid lifelong learner with a hunger for innovation in education and a passion for sharing what he has discovered with others. Being a dynamic person himself, his passion for Education and sense of purpose have made him bring a paradigm shift in the business of educating people in an exciting and effective manner. In his pursuit for excellence in academics, he has tried to synergize the best of the Indian Management ideologies with the modern day Management theories. From Arya Chanakya to Jack Welch, all have influenced him to work towards making the Institute a place for imparting more than just Education. Prof. Dr Uday Salunkhe has also been involved in the official bodies of the University and the Directorate of Technical Education to improve the quality of management education. Currently, he is the Chairman of Ad-hoc Board of Studies in Management Courses of Mumbai University and President of Association of Management of MBA/MMS Institutes. He has been elected as Vice President of Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) for the year 2006-07 and President (Elect) for 2007-08. AIMS is the second largest network of management schools in the world.

Prof. Pradeep Pendse (B.E., MMS) and trained Lead Assessor for ISO 9000 and BS-7799 and has nearly 25 years experiences as CIO, IT Entreprenuer, Consultant and faculty. His core areas are IT Strategy, Business Analysis/BPM, Software Project Management, BPO/ITES. He is credited with nurturing unique programs viz PGDM (e-Business) & PGDM (Business Design) Programs and a post grad program on Enteperprise Risk Management (Jointly with Deloitte).
He has been associated with several Professional Bodies viz Computer Society of India, Indian Merchants Chamber, ISACA Mumbai, Project Management in various capacities.He is a recipient of the Dewang Mehta award for ‘Best IT Teacher (B-schools), Chapter Patron Award (CSI), and distinguished Alumnus Award (NMIMS).
He has authored the first ever book on Business Analysis and is very well known for his workshops on Business Analysis & Project Leadership.

Current Activities at the Institute:
- Faculty of Business Design at Welingkar Institute of Management, Mumbai.
- Regular Workshops on Design Thinking, Idea generation & Concept Prototyping conducted at Welingkar Institute of Mgt.
- Spearheading the Activities of the Innovation Lab at Welingkar Institute.
- Conducting field studies with the help of students on various lines of enquiry including: Infrastructure development in Mumbai, Social Innovation, Business Model Innovation, Pedagogical Innovation in teaching & learning.
- Pursuing study of Memetics, a science involved in helping understand Human behavior and predicting future trends that may help create business ideas for the future.
- Encouraging and guiding students inclined towards Entrepreneurship.

- Teaches Yoga to the Management Students at the “Welingkar Institute of Management”
- Conducts Stress Management sessions for various Corporates.

Dr Rutu Gujarathi

Dr Rutu Gujarathi is leading the alumni relations for the part-time masters’ program at WeSchool. She has completed her PhD in Personal Branding of Management Graduates. She mentors MBA students on their career journey through academic milestones and research. Subjects of Marketing, Branding and Research methodology are her interest areas.
