‘Vachan Prerna Divas’ or Reading Day was celebrated on 15th October, 2018 to pay homage to our former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam who loved reading and writing. This day is observed so that people understand the importance of reading and are encouraged to develop it as a hobby.

The event was inaugurated by the group director Dr. Uday Salunkhe, wherein he addressed the gathering to read and share the knowledge. Prof. Dr. V H Iyer enlightened us with a sanskrit shloka;

“Buddhim Dehi Yasho Dehi Kavithwam Dehi Dehime

Moodthawamcha Harre Devi Thrahimam Sarangatham”

It means ‘Give me the Intellect, Give me the Courage, Give me the Wisdom, to learn all that, I should learn from the ever changing environment. Drive away my Difference, Drive away my negativity, and in that process, make me worthy of Thee’

The various activities organized by Weschool to celebrate Vachan Prerna Divas:-
