Welingkarites are rocking and this time …literally.
The reason being the launch of their campus radio, RadioWe. It is the first one on a b-school campus though Mudra Institute of Communication, Ahmadabad, Symbiosis Institute of Media & Communication, Indian Institute of Technology -Bombay are also known to have their own campus radio stations.
RadioWe that was inaugurated this March stands for edutainment and serves as a platform for promotion of talent across different domains. RadioWe’s maiden show focused on Welingkar’s Annual Cricket Competition, IMPACT with three original numbers by Welingkarites and one by a guest performer.RadioWe also features audio clips by professors & competition winners,shayaris, IMPACT players’ audio snippets etc . In the upcoming shows it plans to include updates on business & management , upcoming events, humour and much more fun.
RadioWE was conceptualised at InnoWE by PGDM Business Design student & cultural secretary Sohail Sayani under the guidance of Prof. Kaustubh Dhargalkar. Now the team also includes students of different streams. Also is worth mentioning the valuable support and encouragement which the team got from Prof. Jalpa Thakker all along.
The success of RadioWe is mirrored in the fact that within 28 days of the launch it had been played 3700 times on Soundcloud.com .
