The Foundation Fortnight for WeSchool Bengaluru concluded on positive note with memories of fun filled sessions on campus. The event was inter spread across action packed activities like Mount Midoriyama, WeQUEST, live trading stock market, design workshop and the ultimate group photo challenge. Less can be said to describe one big massively interactive event buzzing with on spot challenges. Each day was an adventure. And each student is now a WeSchool family member.
Guest sessions were not just informative, but also interactive. The PGDM class of 2017-19, were excited to interact with the young and dynamic Mr. Deeraj, R.P. Co-founder, Crowd Kraft, Bangalore; Mr. Madan Ganesh, VP Goldman Sachs and Dr.Tapati Bandopadhyay, General Manager – Practice Head, Wipro Holmes, who shared her infectious passion for ‘Coding’ which is integral element for Artificial Intelligence. Mr. Krishna Murthy Shankar, Group HR Head, Infosys, in his address spoke about the difference in today’s work culture as against when he started his career. He advised students saying, ” Have the qualities of ‘humility and confidence’ and also to have the attitude of a ‘learner’. Because, there is always a person, who is far better than you are –we must strive to improve.”
Mr. Shankar Rao, Head – CIO & Head – Business Transformation Consulting, Bosch India, described VUCA world as – Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous- and asserted that the changes such as specialization and disrupting technologies as taking place rapidly.
Specific sessions on Excel and Analytics expanded the boundaries of knowledge. The sessions unraveled the power of the much spoken ‘big data’.
Alumni Interaction: A panel of WeSchool alumni members were present for the lively and interactive session with students. These included alumni who are today currently working in HP, Infosys, Deloitte, Treebo Hotels and Dell. The alumni fielded the questions and the overall session was moderated by Dr. Jai Raj Nair, in the presence of Dr. Madhavi Lokhande, Dean – WeSchool Bengaluru campus.
WEQUEST :
WEQUEST was a multi-team, multi-player game created in the form of a hybrid of ‘Amazing Race’ and ‘Minute to Win it’. The objective of WEQUEST was essentially introduce various management strategies such as team dynamics, time management, conflict resolution, team strategy etc in conjunction with fun and campus discovery.
