WeSchool signs Memorandum of Understanding with MTNL’s Center for Excellence in Telecom Technology and Management
It was a historic moment when Shri A K.Garg, Chairman and Managing Director, MTNL and Prof Dr Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, WeSchool announced their strategic alliance to launch two new management courses for Telecom sector by signing of a (MoU) between WeSchool and MTNL–CETTM (Center for Excellence in Telecom Technology and Management). With this alliance with the telecom giant, WeSchool has the distinction of being the only Business School in the country to have a collaborative association with MTNL. The industry-academia partnership will develop and deliver the programs in telecom management that aim towards developing skills required to meet the growing opportunities and challenges in telecom ecosystem
Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, WeSchool put forth his vision behind the joint venture., “We are highly privileged to be the first Business School to join hands with MTNL to introduce specialized management programmes for Telecom sector. This futuristic joint initiative will take MTNL to a different level as from now on it will be seen as a learner’s organization. With the fast paced growth & challenges in the telecom industry, there is a dire need to create a workforce with sound technical knowledge combined with good management skills. Learn, Unlearn and Relearn is the Mantra of the day and the Triple A concept that WeSchool has embedded in its pedagogy, trains our young managers to acquire knowledge, apply and assimilate it. We believe that a manager must become a leader and leader must take on the mantle of teacher to let the knowledge trickle to sections other than his own, for the benefit of the organization and society “
“In these niche courses, not only an appreciation of general management principles is cultivated, but marketing and inter-linkages between telecom markets will also be explored. With design thinking, creativity and innovation at the core of all our educational programs, WeSchool has always strived to expand the horizons of management education to various sectors. We believe that our initiative with MTNL is an important step in this direction to co-create the required talent pool while contributing to the overall growth of the telecom industry and in turn boost national economy” added Dr Salunkhe.
