#CyberAlert Responsible Netism’s Second National CyberPsychology Conference concludes

WeSchool auditorium was abuzz with cyber experts’ panel discussions, a skit by school students, student panellists and an engaging Q&A – on day two of the conference. Active participation from cyber experts – Mumbai Police and government of Maharashtra familiarised parents, children and academicians with the current cyber-crime and how a responsible netizen can be alert.

The discussions today covered topics such as child safety; media and parent responsibility; games promoting wellness; cyber smart schools; the role of law enforcement during cyber distress and building digital guardians.

Panelists today were, Mr Nilesh Khare, Editor Saam TV; Mr Sahil Joshi, Sr. Editor AajTak and India Today; Mr Ibrahim Afghan, Sr. Journalist, Writer; Dr Harish Shetty, Social Psychiatrist; Dr. Avinash Desousa, Psychiatrist, Founder Global Society of Digital Psychology; Francis Joseph, Co-founder, School Leaders Network; Ms. Prachi Sathe, Officer on Special Duty, Ministry of Education Maharashtra; students from different schools and Open Minds Production; Mr. Ashutosh Dumare, Joint C.P. e.o.w and cyber; Mr Balsing Rajput, Superintendent of Police Cyber Maharashtra; Ms. Chitrakala Acharya, Head programme, Childline India Foundation; Rakhee Chhabria, Educator, Content Developer, Founder Teacher help Teachers;  Nitin Potdar, Sr. Corporate Lawyer at J. Sagar Associates  and many more.

Addressing at the valedictory session, Prof. Dr Uday Salunkhe said, “We are not far away from that day when robots will be a part of our daily lives. We need to ensure that technological advancements enable us to progress rather than immobilise our freedom of thought. The mission of this conference must translate into a cyber resolution that could be put to action. With great power comes responsibility. Before ‘We’ comes an ‘I’ who is collaborative into a making of a wise and safe society.”

Responsible Netism’s Second National CyberPsychology Conference at WeSchool concluded with a cheering audience of parents, school and college going students showing a thumbs-up emoji.
