It was a day when the WeSchool Alumini meet the young batch of students. The alumni invited as panelists interacted on topics from industry scenario to their advice on do’s and don’ts at WeSchool. Nandini John, Co-Founder & Sales Head – Real Estate Solutions, Sunday Mobility; Rahul Chandalia, Co-Founder – WOL, 3D Entrepreneur; Priyanka Amar, Founder, iKheti; Debopriyo Chakraborty, Senior Planning Director(Media), Famous Innovations Digital Creative Pvt Ltd.; Gaurav Sharma, Product Manager – Consumer Loans (Lending), Axis Bank Ltd. and Tito Idicula, Co-Founder, Programming Hub.
On being asked our dear alumni what their key takeaways from the two years in the college, Nandini John, Co-Founder & Sales Head – Real Estate Solutions, Sunday Mobility immediately replied saying, ” It’s the network that we form that is to follow for sure, which was unanimously agreed by the rest as well.” All panelists gave advice on how the college will have multiple opportunities to offer and we must never fail to grab them. Mr. Chakraborty, Senior Planning Director(Media), Famous Innovations Digital Creative Pvt Ltd., stressed on the importance on balancing classes and extra-curricular activities and motivated all to search for something they love which will ultimately keep everyone going.
The next course of discussion answered the question ‘what would be required in today’s changing business landscape?’ and Mr. Tito Idicula, Co-Founder, Programming Hub, rightly said that innovation and passion can take one to places and we should always be on the lookout for opportunities. Ms. Nandini added to it that the college gives its students many opportunities to experiment and one shouldn’t fear to fail as failure leads to learning and eventually success. Mr. Rahul Chandalia, Co-Founder – WOL, 3D Entrepreneur, added his valuable thoughts on how passion is a key driver and one needs to be calm to achieve things even when there are downfalls. Mr. Chakraborty advised everyone to stay upbeat with the current trends in technology and to keep updating oneself to stay in the industry. And, Priyanka Amar, Founder, iKheti, put it very crisply that one should be willing to unlearn and learn and be eager to learn from anyone and everyone. Lastly, Gaurav Sharma, Product Manager – Consumer Loans (Lending), Axis Bank Ltd, put forth that one can get done with studying but never put a stop to learning as that will put an end to his growth and one should always be ready to adapt to the changing scenario.
The session concluded on a positive note with students asking questions to the WeSchool Alumni.
